About the Speaker

Dr MADHAN MOHAN JAGANATHAN

Dr. Madhan Mohan Jaganathan is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for International Politics, Organisation and Disarmament, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University.  He holds an MSc in Physics and an MA in Political Science from Madras Christian College . He has an MPhil and a PhD in International Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University.

His research interests include research methodology, theories of international relations especially critical theory, critical security studies, rising powers especially India, humanitarian intervention, responsibility to protect (R2P), society and politics of India, and culture and politics of Tamil Nadu. 

Dr. Jaganathan has publications in international journals, viz., Conflict, Security and Development, Global Society and Third World Quarterly. Currently, he is a co-editor of International Political Sociology, a journal supported by International Studies Association (ISA), and published by Oxford Academic, Oxford University Press. 

He has convened panels and presented papers in the annual conferences of the British International Studies Association (BISA). He has also presented papers in the annual conventions of the International Studies Association (ISA).
