Dr Javed Iqbal Wani
Head of Research and Publications (H)

Dr. Javed Iqbal Wani is the Head of Research and Publications (consultant), at the Centre for Studies of Plural Societies (CSPS). He is currently working as a Senior Assistant Professor at the School of Law, Governance and Citizenship, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD). In the past, he taught at Royal Holloway, University of London, and Jamia Millia Islamia. Dr Wani received his PhD from the Department of History, Royal Holloway, University of London in 2016. He has published research papers in reputed journals such as Economic and Political Weekly of India (EPW), South Asia: Journal of South Asian Studies, Labour History, Journal of South Asian History and Sociology, and Journal of Royal Asiatic Society. His commentaries are published in reputed national newspapers and news portals in India. He specialises and teaches courses in Modern History and Politics of South Asia and is particularly interested in issues concerning public order. His academic publications are available on ORCID. His upcoming monograph will be published by Cambridge University Press in early 2023.
